Our Next Playgroup and a Picture from the last!

Our next group is 6/13/10 at the Giffords. Let someone know if you didn't get their address. It is at 3:00. We are doing Mayan Families as the charity. There is a great need in Guatemala right now after the devastation from the volcano and the tropical storm. We plan on sending cash donations. Hope to see you there!

Next Playgroup

Sunday, May 23rd
3:00
Jocelyn's House

Our next charity will be Ethiopia Reads

After reading about their needs, Kerri and I thought the best route was to just take monetary donations. So if you were going to spend a dollar or 20 dollars on donations, just donate that amount. No amount is too small!! We will have an envelope in the house to stick it in and then I will donate our total to the organization as a gift from our group.
Hope to see you there!
If you didn't get the email with the address, please let Kerri or Jocelyn know!

Jocelyn will send out an email with the date, time, and address of the playgroup. If you're new to the site and interested in joining us, leave a comment with your email or email Jocelyn or me.

Donations

I wish I would have taken a picture of all the donations.  It was too much for the oversized Walmart shopping cart at Emergency Infant Services.  I went in at lunch and told them I had a bunch of donations.  The woman at the desk gave me a card to fill out with the name of the person donating (I put Tulsa Playgroup with a Purpose) and some info about the donations.  I filled it out while she went to get the cart for me.  When I came back in, 3 other employees of EIS came out to talk to me.  They were beyond thrilled with the donations and very interested in the playgroup.  I told them a little about us.  They were so excited.  I wish I could have taken Medina with me but I don't think her school would have liked it much.  Still, it was great to see the appreciation on all their faces.
